Designing a neighborhood from scratch was no easy feat, but we were more than up to the challenge posed by builder Vintage Development. Perched on the shores of Lake Erie, minutes from downtown Cleveland, the historic Battery Park neighborhood merges the city’s industrial past with its proud present as a hub for innovation, technology, culture, and entertainment. Battery Park Lakeside Townhomes features 18 smartly designed, modern structures that epitomize Cleveland’s contemporary rebirth – the perfect place for walkable, urban, upscale living.
To the north of the development, a marina, yacht club, and downtown beckon residents, who enjoy a rare residential access point to the sandy beaches, strolls, and vigorous yoga classes in the green grass at Edgewater Park. Glittering restaurants, bars, boutiques, and cultural attractions, like the Gordon Square Arts District and the Detroit Shoreway, entice residents to the development’s south, where they can meander or bike along multi-use trails.
We integrated elegant details throughout the project, using sophisticated in-house virtual reality technology to conjure a vision for the development long before the groundbreaking. Our new software project tool, Transported, integrated Revit modeling into a convenient computer platform for 360-degree townhome tours. These tours allowed buyers to see the nuances of the design, from sunlight spilling onto polished hardwood floors to big bay windows boasting sweeping lake views. At Battery Park Lakeside Townhomes, glass-enclosed staircases float and quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances gleam with the possibility of attainable luxury, reflecting a vision for urban regeneration.
