Now in its 49th year, Interior Design’s Giants of Design report continues to be a key benchmark for measuring the industry’s health and resilience – tracking firm revenue, project volume, staffing, and market shifts across regions and sectors.

This year’s findings reflect steady, continued growth. The Top 100 Giants generated a record $6.38 billion in interior design fees in 2025 – a 1% increase and another milestone following the industry’s first pass of $5 billion in 2023. Even more broadly, the top 200 firms surpassed $7 billion in combined fees for the first time.

Despite early concerns around economic volatility and tariffs, the industry showed resilience, with impacts felt more at the project level rather than across the board. The data points to consistent, incremental progress rather than dramatic swings. Looking ahead, firms are forecasting a slight 2% dip for 2026 – though historically, projections have often been more conservative than actual performance.
