OMNOVA Solutions

OMNOVA Solutions had enjoyed decades of growth and had outgrown its leased headquarters space in the Akron, Ohio area. An innovative global company that produces emulsion polymers, specialty chemicals, and decorative and functional surfaces, the firm needed space that would accommodate collaboration and further innovation. The new space needed to augment the company’s competitiveness for talent and product development as well as cost effectiveness.

We designed an open environment with few private offices, a variety of informal gathering spaces, and state-of-the-art technology to enhance communication amongst a global employee base. The site layout promotes activity and interaction, with an extensive outdoor patio, walking paths, and recreation court. To maximize natural light indoors, a glass curtain wall features prominently in the façade, complemented by Italian-engineered stone tile.
