Vocon Announces Molinski as Registered Architect
A True Testament of the Consistent Growth of the Firm
CLEVELAND (April 2009) – Vocon, a leading architectural and interior design firm, announces architect Michael J. Molinski has earned his certificate of qualification to practice architecture in the state of Ohio.
Earning the title of registered architect demonstrates Molinski’s competence in the design and construction of buildings and dedication to the health, safety, and welfare of the public.
“This achievement further emphasizes Mike’s commitment to the firm as well as providing the best possible expertise to our clients,” said Deborah Donley, principal, Vocon. “This recognition marks not only his individual growth but is a true testament of the consistent growth of the firm.”
Candidates pursuing a license to practice architecture must meet established education and training standards prior to taking the Architecture Registration Exam (ARE). The examination tests a candidate’s ability to perform measurable tasks, similar to those an architect typically encounters. It also exercises the skills and judgment of a generalist working with specialists to accurately measure a candidate’s competence in the practice of architecture as a whole. As a registered architect, Molinski will enhance Vocon’s ability to operate as a full-service firm, with the knowledge and skills to service clients in all areas of the building and design process.
Michael J. Molinski came to Vocon in 2007 with more than seven years of experience. He began as a project manager and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) by the U. S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
Most recently, Molinski served as the project lead for the design of the FirstEnergy West Akron Campus for Vocon and has been published in various local and national trade magazines.
Prior to joining Vocon, Molinski worked at Bostwick Design Partnership. He’s also been involved in higher education LEED certified projects in Washington and Oregon involving the design of university offices, laboratories and classrooms, in addition to working with healthcare and government clients following early LEED guidelines. Some of these projects were used as trials for standardized building programs that now list LEED certification as a requirement.
Molinski holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Cincinnati and is a resident of Lakewood, Ohio.
Established in 1987, Vocon is a Cleveland-based architecture and interior design firm focused on creating distinctive, productive work environments for private- and public-sector clients throughout the country. Some of its notable clients include Quicken Loans, FirstEnergy Corp. and KeyBank—to name a few. For more information about Vocon, visit www.vocon.com.
