Crain's Cleveland Honors Vocon with the Leading Edge Award

Vocon was one of more than 90 organizations honored

CLEVELAND (May 2009) – Vocon, a leading architectural and interior design firm, has been honored by Crain’s Cleveland Business with the Leading EDGE Award, recognizing the firm as a valuable company stimulating economic growth in Northeast Ohio.

Vocon was one of more than ninety organizations honored on Wed., May 20 at a dinner reception held at Kent State University’s Student Center.  Since 2007, Crain’s Cleveland Business has recognized Northeast Ohio’s companies who have “value” - a metric created by The Entrepreneurs EDGE (Economic Development through Growth and Entrepreneurship) that combines a company’s employee compensation and earnings before interest and tax.

The architecture and design firm secured a spot on the list due to an increase in overall project revenue, steady project growth, creating value for the region and extending the company’s business and services outside the region throughout the 27-county region of Northeast Ohio. In addition, Vocon – as well as all qualifying companies – had sales revenue up to $750 million in 2008.

The complete list of 2009 winners was featured in the May 18 issue of Crain’s Cleveland Business.
